Email or SMS?

Email is your foundation, SMS gives you wings. It’s not one or the other, but both working together to amplify the impact of efforts made in both channels. If you MUST pick one, first look at your customer base or ideal customer profile for insights on how to best communicate with them. Beyond that, always build your foundation first, and in the case of ecommerce marketing, that means email.


Can’t I just send the same in both?

Not necessarily; brands can run parallel campaigns, complimentary campaigns, and channel-specific campaigns. All are important for ecommerce marketing success, and choosing the right approach will depend on the customers you are trying to connect with as well as your business goals.

How does the three month kickstart work?

  • Months 1 - 3: strategy and analytics, customer insights, copywriting, and automated send buildout.

    • It takes one month to build and write each five-send automated workflow. The first three months will focus on setting up your foundational high-earning email and text message sends: Welcome Series, Post-Purchase, Abandoned Cart. These are the sends that have the highest sales conversion rates, and are most important to nurturing your customers during their purchasing journey. The first three months also include reviewing business goals to determine an integrated strategy, a thorough investigation of customer insights through existing data and send analytics, or if unavailable, developing a researched customer ICP.
